The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has entered into a global partnership with Japanese sportswear manufacturer Asics.
Asics has agreed a five-year deal to provide beach volleyball athletes, court personnel and officials with tops and uniforms. It will also provide uniforms for referees and officials in volleyball. The deal begins on January 1 next year and will run through until December 31, 2020.
Asics will also develop a new line of uniforms for the FIVB as part of the agreement.
“We hope our new uniform styles will contribute to the spread of volleyball and beach volleyball and create a new image for the two disciplines,” Asics president and chief executive, Motoi Oyama, said.
