Danish Superliga football team FC Copenhagen has sealed a five-year extension to ensure its long-standing main sponsorship agreement with beer manufacturer Carlsberg runs through until 2021.
Carlsberg, which is headquartered in the Danish capital, first teamed up with FC Copenhagen in 1999 and the partnership will be the longest running in Superliga history when its fresh terms are completed.
FC Copenhagen chief executive Anders Hørsholt said: “We are very pleased to collaborate with Carlsberg and proud that a brand and a company of their size shows that they believe so much in us and the business opportunities in FC Copenhagen. We have a long and glorious common history and Carlsberg logo is becoming almost a regular part of FC Copenhagen jersey next to the club’s logo.”
Financial terms for the latest contract between FC Copenhagen and Carlsberg were not disclosed.
