Euroleague Basketball, which organises continental club competitions in Europe, has entered into a partnership with Turkish real estate investment and trust company Sinpas REIT.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Sinpas will now serve as an official partner of Euroleague Basketball.
Sinpas will also organise a leadership conference for executives from Euroleague Basketball, as well as representatives from clubs in the EuroLeague continental club competition.
In addition, Sinpas will run an advertising campaign featuring Zeljko Obradovic, a nine-time EuroLeague champion and the most successful coach in European basketball history.
The deal comes after the EuroLeague last season staged its Final Four in Istanbul. Fenerbahçe, which is based in the Turkish city, won the end-of-season showpiece tournament.
Jordi Bertomeu, president and chief executive of Euroleague Basketball, said: “To have a real estate investment and trust company see the opportunities for exposure afforded by our competitions shows the many possibilities that elite basketball generates to connect businesses to clients.”
