Spanish LaLiga football club Espanyol has confirmed that its new majority shareholder, Chinese manufacturing business Rastar Group, has taken on the team’s shirt sponsorship rights for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
As part of the agreement, a number of Rastar Group’s affiliated companies will appear on the front of Espanyol’s playing jerseys between now and the end of the current LaLiga campaign in May.
Mobile gaming application 52tt.com was the first Rastar Group brand to be displayed on Espanyol’s kits during the team’s match against city rival Barcelona on Saturday.
Rastar replaces gaming technology provider Power8 as the club’s shirt sponsor. Rastar Group, which announced its investment in Espanyol in November 2015, will also receive advertising exposure at Estadi Cornellà-El Prat, the club's home stadium.
