Dubai-based airline Emirates has opted to extend its shirt sponsorship deal with German Bundesliga football club Hamburg.
The extended deal will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 until 2018-19.
Under the agreement, Emirates branding will continue to appear on the front of Hamburg’s playing jerseys. The new deal will make Emirates the longest-serving main shirt sponsor in the club’s history, having begun its partnership with the team in the 2006-07 season.
Emirates will continue to benefit from a branding presence throughout the team’s Volksparkstadion home stadium and will also have access to hospitality facilities at the venue.
In addition, Emirates will continue to serve as a partner of the club’s HSV Foundation initiative Der Hamburger Weg.
The extension of the deal means Hamburg continues amongst Emirates’ sizeable portfolio of European football club partners, which currently includes AC Milan, Arsenal, Benfica, Olympiacos, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
