The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has entered into a partnership with betting and gaming company Intralot.
The deal, which will run until the end of 2018, names Intralot as a premium sponsor of the Italian national team.
The two parties will seek to create a responsible betting culture surrounding the Italian football sector by launching various social and educational initiatives.
“(Intralot) is a brand with which we quickly found an affinity of values, with the intention to create a socio-educational programme to combat gambling addiction,” Michele Uva, director general of the FIGC, said. “Intralot has shown sensitivity to these issues and our partnership will be a common ground where joint activities will be carried out.”
