German Bundesliga football club Schalke 04 has signed a partnership with education and tuition provider Schülerhilfe.
The deal will last one year, covering the 2015-16 season, and includes an extension option.
The partnership aims to provide education-based projects for supporters of the Gelsenkirchen-based club. It is Schülerhilfe’s first move into the sports sponsorship sector.
As part of the agreement, Schülerhilfe will receive marketing rights and advertising at the Veltins Arena, Schalke’s home stadium. The club will also promote Schülerhilfe through its website and social media platforms.
Alexander Jobst, chief marketing officer of Schalke, said: “Schülerhilfe is the market leader in the field of professional tutoring. We are especially pleased that our new partner is headquartered in Gelsenkirchen and together we will implement projects for our young Schalke fans.”
