English County Championship cricket club Durham has agreed a sponsorship deal with specialist fund management company Liontrust.
The partnership will initially run for two years and includes sponsorship of the Durham Jets, the club’s Twenty20 team.
Liontrust’s branding will appear on the back of the Jets’ T20 Blast shirts. The company will also be promoted in the family zone at Durham’s Riverside stadium.
Liontrust will sponsor Durham’s women’s academy, and also become involved with community initiatives through the Durham County Cricket Club Foundation and a new programme in Kenya.
Sir Ian Botham, chairman of the club, said: “The deal brings together two strong organisations within their chosen fields and we’re excited to start developing a strategic relationship that will focus strongly around the club’s ambitions to develop Durham CCC’s work within the community and our family experience at the ground on matchday.
“In order for the club to move forward, we are keen to enhance our overall cricket experience for families, women and girls and children as we continue to grow our reputation.”
