Industrial company Dubai Aluminium (Dubal) has extended its sponsorship of the Dubai Desert Classic and Dubai Ladies Masters golf tournaments for the next three years.
Under the agreement with event organiser Golf in Dubai, which is effective from 2014, Dubal will continue a partnership with the Dubai Desert Classic which has been in place since the tournament’s inception in 1989.
Dubal has been the main sponsor of the event for 19 years, while the Dubai Ladies Masters – also title sponsored by Swiss watch maker Omega – was launched in 2006 and early next month world No.3 Stacy Lewis will head the field for the 2013 edition.
World No.1 Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will headline a strong field when the Dubai Desert Classic celebrates its 25th anniversary at Emirates Golf Club from January 27 to February 2, 2014.
Along with Dubal and Omega, Golf in Dubai counts CNN, Drydocks World & Maritime World, Emirates NBD, Gulf News, Mercedes-Benz and Wasl Asset Management Group as its co-sponsors.
