German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund has entered into a regional partnership with Mongolian Airlines.
The three-year agreement will become effective on July 1 and cover the 2016-17 to 2018-19 Bundesliga seasons. Dortmund claimed the deal marks the first between a Mongolian company and a European football club.
Under the agreement, the airline has been granted the use of Dortmund’s official club logo for advertising initiatives.
“We are a little bit proud that we always manage to get new international partners who are very excited about working with us,” Hans Joachim-Watzke, Dortmund’s chief executive, said. “The communication between our Singapore office and the Dortmund HQ grows stronger and more intensive as every month goes by.
“We are already in further very promising discussions with (renowned) companies from this region. It was the right decision to move into the Asian market.”
