Global logistics company DHL has agreed a deal with the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) to sponsor this year’s edition of the Copa Libertadores club competition.
DHL will serve as the official logistics sponsor of this year’s tournament and will have a presence at every match.
DHL will use the partnership to promote itself across more than 1,500 service centres throughout Central and South America.
Conmebol’s commercial director Marcos Senna said: “This alliance goes beyond the tournament, as DHL will be the exclusive global courier of Conmebol.”
The deal was brokered by the IMG agency, which is marketing the sponsorship rights to the Copa Libertadores.
