Turkish banking group DenizBank has agreed a three-year title sponsorship deal with the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) for its Champions League club competition.
The deal is effective from this season’s edition of the Champions League, which began this week, and concludes with the respective women’s and men’s Final Four tournaments on March 15-16 and March 22-23.
In each of the past three seasons a Turkish team has taken the women’s Champions League crown, with Vakifbank Spor Kubulu sandwiching Fenerbahce’s 2011-12 triumph.
The CEV said DenizBank would give “significant support towards the aim to further develop volleyball in Europe”.
The CEV agreement expands DenizBank’s significant involvement in sport, which includes partnerships with Turkish football clubs Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Bursaspor.
