Football’s Welsh Premier League has signed up online betting company Dafabet as its new title sponsor.
The length of the multi-year deal, which will begin with the 2015-16 season, has not been disclosed.
The league said that the sponsorship deal represented the most lucrative agreement in its history.
“Dafabet’s increasing portfolio of partnerships with major players in the sporting world show the company’s faith in our ever improving product,” league secretary Gwyn Derfel said. "I thank Dafabet for their faith and investment and look forward to a productive future for the Dafabet Welsh Premier League.”
Dafabet already has a presence in football after serving as the main club sponsor of 2015 English FA Cup finalist Aston Villa for the past two seasons. The company also has partnerships with English Premier League clubs Everton and Sunderland and Scottish Premier League club Celtic.
