The CSM Sport & Entertainment division of marketing services group Chime Communications has entered into a partnership with LaLiga, the organising body of the top two divisions of domestic football in Spain.
Under the agreement, CSM will exclusively represent LaLiga’s global commercial and sponsorship rights. The length of the partnership was not disclosed.
CSM said it will support LaLiga’s global strategic marketing activities and will seek out long-term partners across a new centralised commercial concept.
“As the appeal and strength of Spanish football grows exponentially across the globe, LaLiga is an extremely exciting opportunity for global businesses who want to engage audiences through the power of football,” Zak Brown, group chief executive of CSM, said.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, added: “As the best league in the world, with the best teams and players, we strive to attract and work with truly world-class partners. We believe that CSM will be an extremely valuable partner in helping us achieve this vision.”
CSM last month entered into a similar partnership with the European Tour, under which it will work with Toronto-based agency Cimoroni & Company to represent the golf organisation’s worldwide commercial and sponsorship rights.
