Commonwealth Games England is seeking a presenting partner for the first time in its 85-year history, while the body has also teamed up with consultancy firm Female Sports Group to support its commercial operations.
In a statement, CGE confirmed that it would name a presenting partner ahead of the next edition of the Commonwealth Games, which is scheduled to take place in Australia’s Gold Coast region in 2018.
FSG will aid the body in its acquisition of new partners ahead of the multi-sport event.
“It is a historic move for CGE to offer a brand the opportunity of being the first presenting partner of Team England and Female Sports Group is a key appointment for us,” CGE chief executive Paul Blanchard said. “Their experience in delivering commercial supporters to sports organisations is strong and they fully understand the value that a partnership with Team England can bring to a brand.”
At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, Team England topped the medal table for the first time in nearly 30 years with 174 medals.
