The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) has sealed a renewed agreement with official insurer Allianz and has brought in soft drinks giant Coca-Cola as an official sponsor.
Allianz’s fresh terms are for four years, from 2015 to 2018, and the partnership covers Colombia’s men’s and women’s senior, under-20, under-17, under-15, futsal and beach soccer teams.
The showpiece international tournaments during this time are the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada, this year’s Copa America in Chile, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and 2016 Copa America in the USA, along with the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Colombians aged 14-16 will have the chance to win a place at the Allianz Junior Football Camp, a programme that allows youngsters from 28 countries to participate in a training camp staged by German Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich. Allianz is a commercial partner and shareholder of Bayern.
Coca-Cola will also sponsor the FCF for the next four years, covering all tournaments and representative levels.
The training kits worn by Colombia’s national teams will feature Coca-Cola’s branding, while the company will also benefit from a presence during media activities and receive in-stadium branding. Players will also have access to Coca-Cola products, including its flagship sports drink Powerade.
The financial details of the FCF’s deals with Allianz and Coca-Cola were not disclosed.
