French financial services company Cofidis has extended its partnership with the Vuelta a España cycling race.
The new agreement will see Cofidis retain its position as a main sponsor of the race through to its 2019 edition.
Cofidis will also continue to serve as the title sponsor of the Vuelta Junior educational project as part of the deal.
The Cofidis Solutions Crédits UCI Pro-Continental team, which Cofidis title sponsors, is currently competing in the 2016 Vuelta. The event got underway on August 20 and concludes on September 11.
The race is one of three ‘Grand Tours’ on the cycling circuit, along with the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia.
Following Tuesday’s rest day, the Vuelta resumed today (Wednesday) with Movistar’s Nairo Quintana (pictured) wearing the leaders’ red jersey.
