State-owned automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Chinese Super League, the top tier of club football in the country.
Under the deal, which will run for at least the 2018 season, SAIC has been named a senior official partner of the CSL.
Dong Zheng, general manager of the CSL, said: “This is a leading Chinese auto company that cooperates with the Chinese Super League not only because it can enhance corporate awareness and expand brand influence through the Chinese Super League, but also because it sees the potential and bright future of the Chinese Super League.”
SAIC will seek to promote brands such as Roewe and Evcard through the partnership.
