Telecommunications company China Unicom has reached an agreement with the International Table Tennis Federation to continue sponsoring the body’s World Championships for four more years.
China Unicom will retain its position as a major sponsor of the event for the 2017 to 2020 editions of the tournament.
The 2017 World Championships will take place in the German city of Dusseldorf from May 29 to June 5. China Unicom will benefit from significant brand exposure throughout the event.
The company first partnered with the ITTF in 2006.
China Unicom said in a statement: “We have always been very happy with the international exposure we gain from our sponsorship of this massive event, and we are pleased that we were able to continue our fruitful sponsorship for the next four years and be involved in the current table tennis boom.”
