The New South Wales Waratahs rugby union club in Australia has struck a partnership with insurance company CGU Insurance.
The deal will run for three years, from 2015 to 2017.
Under the agreement, the company’s branding will appear on the lower back of the Waratahs’ playing jersey. CGU Insurance will also have access to an engagement programme to build key relationships across its broker network in New South Wales and beyond.
“Aligning the CGU brand with an iconic New South Wales (NSW) rugby institution like the Waratahs, complements our strong position in this market and connects with our people, customers and partners in NSW,” CGU Insurance chief executive Peter Harmer said. “The partnership also provides exciting opportunities to build awareness of our brand and deliver on our business strategy.”
Waratahs chief executive Jason Allen added: “The cornerstone behind this strategic partnership is a true alignment of vision and values.”
