Spanish LaLiga football club Celta Vigo has named financial services company Abanca as its new stadium naming rights partner, while it has also extended its shirt sponsorship deal with Spanish brewery Hijos de Rivera.
Abanca, an existing partner of Celta Vigo, has signed a new 10-year deal with the club to take on naming rights to the Balaidos stadium.
The ground will officially be known as the Abanca Balaidos as part of the agreement. The new name will be introduced at the stadium over the next month.
Abanca’s branding will also feature on the back of Celta Vigo’s shirts, and on the club’s training kit. Further exposure will be provided throughout the stadium, at the training ground, on the team bus and through various advertising campaigns. Abanca will also receive access to players for promotional activities as part of the deal.
Hijos de Rivera, meanwhile, has signed a new three-year deal with Celta Vigo, through which its Estrella Galicia beer brand will continue to feature on the front of the club’s shirts.
The deal covers the first team, Celta B, and the club’s youth teams, and grants Estrella Galicia promotion throughout the Abanca Balaidos. Hijo de Rivera’s water brand, Cabreiroá, will also be the club’s official water.
