Bwin adds to football portfolio with Marseille deal

Online gaming company Bwin.party has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Olympique de Marseille under which it becomes the official online betting and gaming partner of the French Ligue 1 football club.

The deal adds Marseille to Bwin’s European football portfolio, which already includes digital partnerships with Spanish Liga giant Real Madrid, English Premier League champion Manchester United, German Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League winner Bayern Munich and Italian Serie A champion Juventus.

The sponsorship package includes a series of fan-based initiatives including opportunities to train with the squad and travel to Champions League fixtures.

Additionally, Bwin will enjoy integration into Marseille’s digital and social media platforms, stadium branding and access to players for marketing campaigns.

Marseille and Bwin will develop online and conventional co-branded activities and are expected to collaborate on mobile phone apps and social games.
