US swimming and triathlon apparel brand TYR Sport has agreed a deal to become the official kit supplier of the British Swimming governing body.
The eight-year deal becomes effective on January 1 and will run until the end of 2024. TYR will serve as the sole kit supplier across all of the aquatic disciplines within British Swimming.
The partnership also encompasses the home nation governing bodies of the (English) Amateur Swimming Association, Scottish Amateur Swimming Association and Welsh Amateur Swimming Association.
British Swimming chief executive David Sparkes said: “Like us they are a high-performance business and one which is focused on delivering the best technology swimwear for our athletes to ensure they can perform to their ability in the future.
“This long-term deal will allow us to work together to innovate and build strong links for TYR into the British market.”
British swimming achieved its best result in over 100 years at the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, picking up six medals, including a gold in the 100m breaststroke for Adam Peaty. Great Britain also picked up 47 medals at the Paralympic Games.
