German automotive manufacturer BMW has extended its partnership with the French Rugby Federation (FFR).
BMW will retain its position as an official sponsor of the FFR until 2020 after signing a new four-year deal with the body.
As part of the deal, BMW has created the BMW Oscars Amateurs initiative, which seeks to reward and promote local clubs. The company’s branding will also appear on the jerseys of France’s national teams at youth level.
In addition, French national team captain Guilhem Guirado (pictured), who plays for domestic Top 14 club Toulon, has signed on as a BMW brand ambassador.
BMW will also partner two French rounds of the World Rugby Sevens Series national team competition.
BMW has been a partner of the FFR since 2013.
