BMC Racing will compete on the UCI WorldTour cycling circuit beyond 2016 after extending its title sponsorship deal with Swiss bike manufacturer BMC.
The US-registered team had already secured its license for next season and will now at the very least compete until 2017.
In keeping with BMC Racing’s policy, it did not detail specific terms of the new agreement.
BMC Switzerland owner Andy Rihs said: “We continue to make our bicycles, so I think it’s the best way to promote cycling, besides all of the fun and excitement and passion we have with the riders and the organisation. We will continue to do what we have done every year. We have always been thinking long-term with our programme throughout the years as we continue to develop our organisation.”
BMC Racing will next year celebrate its 10th anniversary. It received WorldTour status in 2011.
