Sportswear and apparel brand BLK Sport has agreed a four-year deal, from 2013-14 to 2016-17, to supply the playing kit to Irish rugby union team Connacht.
BLK will also provide additional technical performance apparel for all of Connacht’s teams and support staff.
The club called the agreement “the largest apparel deal in Connacht Rugby’s history,” but did not disclose financial details.
“BLK’s parent company has a proud heritage in rugby in the Southern Hemisphere and we are delighted to become their lead team in Europe as they look to establish the brand over here,” Connacht’s head of commercial and marketing, Alex Saul, said.
BLK is the official apparel partner of a number of national rugby teams such as Fiji and Tonga, and domestic teams such as Melbourne Rebels and Canterbury.
