English County Championship cricket club Warwickshire has entered into a partnership with Birmingham Airport.
The two-year deal runs until 2019 and grants the airport brand exposure on the back of the shirts worn by the Birmingham Bears Twenty20 team.
Birmingham Airport will also receive perimeter branding at Edgbaston, Warwickshire’s home ground and a leading international cricket venue.
In addition, the airport will be granted hospitality and ticketing for major match days at Edgbaston over the course of the partnership.
Edgbaston will host England’s inaugural Day/Night Test against the West Indies next month, as well as a Test against India in 2018. The venue recently staged matches during the Champions Trophy one-day international tournament.
Birmingham Airport’s chief operating officer, David Winstanley, said: “Edgbaston is a very important and special venue in Birmingham, that’s home to some of the world’s major cricket tournaments so from one local brand that has global reach to another, we feel that this partnership is a perfect fit.
“We’re therefore very proud to be able to be associated with Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston and the Birmingham Bears and we look forward to sharing a successful two-year partnership and with cricket fans across the world.”
