Premier League football team Swansea City has signed Asian online betting brand BetEast as its new shirt sponsor in a club record deal.
BetEast will serve as the Welsh club’s front of shirt sponsor for the 2016-17 season, along with becoming its official Asian betting and gaming partner.
The company has plans to grow in Europe using their new site developed in partnership with TGP Europe, especially for customers based in the UK.
Swansea vice-chairman and commercial director Leigh Dineen said: “It is an exciting partnership and the biggest front of shirt deal the club has ever secured.
“As a club we are looking forward to helping BetEast grow their brand internationally. Competing within the best league in the world, the potential exposure will allow BetEast to position themselves on a global stage in the top tier of bookmakers.”
BetEast replaces GWFX as Swansea’s shirt sponsor. Global financial services provider Goldenway, which owns online trading firm GWFX, signed an initial one-season deal covering the 2013-14 campaign before agreeing a two-year extension to the contract.
