Belgian FA brings in Croky and Basic-Fit

Potato chip brand Croky has secured a deal to become the new title sponsor of the Belgian Cup knockout club football competition, while the Belgian Football Association (URBSFA/KBVB) has signed a partnership with gym chain Basic-Fit.

Boasting a revamped competition structure, the Croky Cup will launch next season under a three-year agreement that runs through until the 2017-18 season.

Croky previously worked with the URBSFA/KBVB between 1995 and 2001 before becoming a preferred partner to Belgium’s men’s national team in 2013. The Belgian Cup was previously title sponsored by financial services firm Cofidis.

Meanwhile, terms were not disclosed for the deal that makes Basic-Fit a URBSFA/KBVB partner from July 1 this year.

The sponsorship relates predominantly to Belgium’s women’s national team and the federation’s match officials, with a wide range of services such as fitness programmes and injury screening to be provided.
