Spanish Liga football club Barcelona has agreed a three-year sponsorship deal in the Latin American market with men’s personal care brand Gillette.
The Procter & Gamble-owned company becomes the official razor of Barcelona in Latin America through the 2016-17 season.
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi is a global brand ambassador for Gillette and was present at the unveiling of the deal today (Thursday).
Under its activation of the partnership Gillette will launch limited edition razors featuring Barcelona’s colours and organise coaching clinics.
Barcelona said it has 70 million fans in Latin America. Gillette becomes the club’s latest regional partner joining Chang Beer, Big Cola, Suning, Tecate, Samba Financial Group, Castle Lager, Avea, Advan, Head & Shoulders, United Arab Bank, Mora Banc and Indosat.
