Spanish Liga champion Barcelona has an agreement in place to extend its main sponsorship agreement with Qatar Airways through to 2020, according to daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.
The contract has been prepared by outgoing Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who is stepping down along with his board to seek re-election.
If Bartomeu is re-elected, the Qatar Airways renewal will be officially ratified, the report said.
Qatar Airways’ existing sponsorship of Barcelona, which includes front-of-shirt branding, expires at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The newspaper added that the renewed terms would be worth €60m ($65.4m) per season to Barcelona, bringing it closer to English Premier League club Manchester United's agreement with US automotive company Chevrolet that is reported to be worth nearly $80m per year.
