Audi invests in FIFA esports, partners with Fokus Clan, FC Ingolstadt

German carmaker Audi has signed new esports partnerships with Fokus Clan and FC Ingolstadt 04, two of Germany’s biggest Fifa teams.

As a part of the three-year deal with Fokus Clan, Audi’s logo will be displayed on team apparel and social media.

Audi will also provide the team with a branded Audi Q7 e-tron car decked out with a PlayStation 4 to promote the partnership.

The carmaker joins German potato snack company Funny-Frisch as Fokus Clan’s main sponsors.

Fokus Clan is managed by Stark eSports, which also manages Fifa pro players at Bundesliga club Ingolstadt.

Audi will join electronics retailer Media Markt as a partner of Ingolstadt’s esports wing. Media Markt is among the football club’s principal partners.

The deals build on Audi’s existing relationship with Bayern Ballers Gaming, which competes in NBA 2K events.

Audi’s sponsorship deal with Bayern Ballers Gaming was the result of its principal partnership with the Basketball Bundesliga’s FC Bayern Munich.
