German automotive manufacturer Audi has bolstered its ties with the International Ski Federation (FIS) by entering into a three-year agreement to support the “Bring Children to the Snow” campaign.
Under the terms of the agreement, Audi will help to run the FIS SnowKidz and World Snow Day grassroots and participation initiatives. World Snow Day was last staged on January 19 this year.
The FIS and Audi have developed World Snow Day and FIS SnowKidz toolkits, which will be distributed free of charge to organisers working at the events.
FIS president Gian Franco Kasper said: “The partnership shows Audi’s dedication and care for future generations. Following an enormous World Snow Day and a 400 per cent increase in FIS SnowKidz events we are sure the partnership will be of great benefit to event organisers, event participants and Audi.”
Audi is a main sponsor of a number of major FIS events including the Nordic Combined World Cup, Ski World Cup, Ski Cross World Cup and the 2015 and 2017 Alpine Ski World Championships.
