FIS Ski World Cup extends Audi partnership

German automotive manufacturer Audi has agreed to continue as title sponsor of the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) Ski World Cup.

The renewal will run through to 2022, extending the partnership between the two parties into a third decade. The 2017-18 season marks the 16th year of the partnership.

Audi’s branding will also continue to adorn the starting gate as part of the early extension.

“We are pleased to be able to announce the prolongation of this long-lasting and successful partnership right before the start of the Olympic season,” said Thomas Glas, Audi’s director of sport marketing.

“This allows Audi to stay the leading partner of international winter sports. Our role as the title sponsor of the FIS Alpine World Cup is one of the highlights of our extensive engagement.”

The 2017 World Cup season kicks off this weekend with the slalom in Sölden, Austria and will conclude in Åre, Sweden on March 18.
