Aston Villa signs up Dafabet as new main sponsor

Dafabet is to become the new official main club sponsor of Aston Villa, after the Asian online betting company reached a two-year agreement with the English Premier League football team.

The Dafabet logo will appear on the front of players’ home and away jerseys – replacing existing main sponsor, fellow Asian gaming company Genting Casinos. The Philippines-headquartered company will also enjoy a host of other sponsorship benefits as part of the deal.

Paul Faulkner, Aston Villa chief executive, confirmed Dafabet had also displayed “strong willingness” to work with the club in its support of Acorns Children’s Hospice, a charity Aston Villa has backed since 2006.

Dafabet first entered the Premier League market last season through its partnerships with Everton and West Bromwich Albion.

John Cruces, head of sponsorships at Dafabet, said: “To be associated with one of the oldest and most successful clubs in England will help us achieve our aim of making Dafabet a household name – not just in Asia, where the majority of our players are currently from, but worldwide.”
