Japanese sportswear company Asics has signed a long-term extension as the official apparel supplier to the French Athletics Federation (FFA).
Asics initially partnered with the FFA in 2013, replacing Adidas under a deal running until 2016. The new contract will take the relationship through until 2021.
Financial terms were not officially disclosed but the AFP news agency said that the deal will be worth around €2m ($2.12m) annually to the FFA.
French athletes will be free to choose their own shoe supplier under the agreement, which covers the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Asics is a top-tier partner of the FFA alongside energy group Areva.
