Ashgabat 2017 signs LG, Coca-Cola as first international partners

Consumer electronics manufacturer LG and soft drinks giant Coca-Cola have signed up as the first official international supporters of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

The organisers of the event agreed the deals with the LG International and Coca-Cola Turkmenistan divisions of the respective companies.

Both LG and Coca-Cola have a long history in sports sponsorship, while LG owns the Twins and Sakers baseball and basketball clubs in South Korea, respectively.

“We are extremely excited to have two of the biggest global brands on board for Ashgabat 2017,” Dayanch Gulgeldiyev, the chairman of the Games’ executive committee, said.

The fifth edition of the multi-sport event will run from September 15-24.
