Health insurance company AOK has upgraded its partnership with Hertha Berlin to become the shirt sponsor of the German Bundesliga football club’s academy teams.
AOK will also retain its position as the exclusive health partner of the club as part of a new agreement that will run until the end of the 2017-18 season.
As a sponsor of Hertha’s academy, AOK’s branding will feature on the shirts of the club’s U9 to U19 teams. The two parties will also cooperate on various health and exercise initiatives aimed at young people.
“The young footballers of Hertha BSC can set an example and inspire children and young people in Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern towards a healthy lifestyle,” Daniela Teichert , executive vice-president of AOK Nordost, said.
AOK first partnered with the club in 2012.
