Outdoor media provider APN Outdoor has been named an official team partner of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC).
The two parties have agreed a five-year deal, which will culminate in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. The partnership will also cover this summer’s Games in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, as well as the 2018 winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Under the agreement, APN Outdoor will promote the Australian Olympic team through its digital billboards and XtrackTV LED screens. The two parties will organise various activations, advertising campaigns and stunts over the course of the deal.
The partnership marks the first time the Australian Olympic team has joined forces with an outdoor media provider.
“A partnership with APN Outdoor grants us access into the everyday lives of Australians in a way we are keen to explore,” AOC president John Coates said. “With the help of APN Outdoor we will be able to bring the team into the public eye, when Australians are out and about, each and every day around our cities and we anticipate this partnership being long and mutually rewarding.”
