Anheuser-Busch, Delta sign up for Copa America Centenario

US brewing giant Anheuser-Busch and Delta Air Lines have signed up as official partners of this summer’s Copa America Centenario national team football tournament, which will be staged in the United States.

The partnerships were signed by the Copa America Centenario Local Organising Committee and brokered by Soccer United Marketing, the marketing arm of Major League Soccer.

As official partners, Anheuser-Busch and Delta will be granted use of the tournament’s intellectual properties for advertising and marketing materials, packaging and consumer promotions.

The two companies will also receive advertising exposure through pitchside signage at tournament matches. In addition, their branding will be visible across the 10 markets that are hosting games.

Anheuser-Busch and Delta join Coca-Cola, Nike, Sprint and State Farm as official sponsors of the Copa America, which will be held from June 3-26.

This summer’s centennial edition of the tournament will mark the first time it has been staged outside of South America. It will feature all 10 teams from the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol), as well as six teams from the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf).
