Online bookmaker Betway has continued its sponsorship drive in Spanish football by partnering with Deportivo Alavés, while the LaLiga club has also extended a shirt sponsorship deal with cosmetics company LEA.
The two-year Betway deal covers the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, with the firm becoming Alavés’ main shirt sponsor.
The agreement follows similar two-year deals signed by Betway with fellow LaLiga clubs Levante and Leganés.
Alavés finished the 2017-18 LaLiga season in 14th place and reached the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Betway is also the shirt sponsor of English Premier League team West Ham United, while it holds partnerships with German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and Belgian First Division A outfit Anderlecht.
Meanwhile, LEA, which had previously served as Alavés’ main shirt sponsor, has agreed a deal to take back-of-shirt branding rights.
The LEA brand will be displayed during LaLiga and Copa del Rey matches, as well as having various other advertising rights. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
