Alaska Airlines has announced it will redirect sponsorship funds intended for Major League Soccer's Portland Timbers and the National Women's Soccer League's Portland Thorns this financial quarter to the NWSL's Players Association's emergency trust and youth sports in the Portland, Oregon community.
The Seattle, Washington-based airline is the Timbers' main jersey sponsor.
