Insurance company AIA has agreed a two-year partnership with Football Federation Australia.
AIA Australia’s wellness programme, AIA Vitality, becomes the naming rights partner of Miniroos, the football introductory program for boys and girls in Australia.
The partnership between FFA and AIA Vitality will commence officially on January 1, 2015 and is for a two-year period, with an option to extend at the end of the term.
The official national launch of AIA Vitality MiniRoos will be held in February to coincide with the kickoff of the grassroots football season.
The FFA said the new partnership will provide funding for development officers in each member federation to aid implementation.
FFA chief executive David Gallop said: “The partnership with AIA Vitality will provide much-needed resources to the thousands of grassroots clubs around the country.”
AIA Group, based in Hong Kong, is an Asia/Pacific-facing insurance company. The firm is the current shirt sponsor of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, having signed a five-year deal in February.
