French insurance group AG2R La Mondiale has signed a two-year extension to its sponsorship agreement with its self-titled UCI WorldTour cycling team.
The new deal will run until the end of the 2020 season. The previous agreement was due to expire at the end of the 2018 campaign.
AG2R La Mondiale first partnered with the team in 1997 and has served as its main sponsor since 2000.
Team director Vincent Lavenu said: “We fully appreciate the trust that AG2R La Mondiale has shown in us and see it as a reward for the whole team. Being able to count on a loyal partner of this dimension is an honour and a privilege for our team, but also for French and international cycling.”
AG2R La Mondiale is fifth in the Tour de France team standings after 16 stages of this year’s race.
