AFL’s Eagles swoop for IGA partnership

Australian Football League Aussie rules club the West Coast Eagles has signed up independent grocery chain IGA as a partner.

IGA has become the Eagles’ official match ball sponsor and an official partner of the club.

The deal will run until at least the end of the 2016 campaign, which will mark the club’s 30th year in the AFL.

“As a brand they are already well recognised and have strong customer and community relationships, and have over 1400 stores with a national presence,” Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett said. “We believe this could be the start of a strong and lasting partnership and we look forward to developing the relationship."
