The International Handball Federation has extended its long-running partnership with German sportswear company Adidas until 2017.
The IHF confirmed the deal in a brief statement. Adidas will continue as the federation’s official outfitter.
It is one of five top-tier IHF partners along with Gerflor, Molten, Intersport and beIN Sports.
The IHF said: “Adidas and handball is more than just a partnership. The cooperation of Adidas and handball is going far beyond. For more than 50 years Adidas has been one of the most important partners of the International Handball Federation. For more than 50 years Adidas has had a major impact on handball, not being just a partner, but an inventor, a creator and a motor for handball.”
