Scottish Premiership football club Aberdeen has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with drilling equipment supplier Saltire Energy.
The two parties have agreed a new two-year deal, which will cover the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Aberdeen-based Saltire’s branding will continue to feature on the front of the jerseys of the club’s first team, U20 and youth academy sides.
The new deal follows on from the three-year partnership signed by Aberdeen and Saltire in 2014.
“The economic climate in and around the city is very challenging and the value of Saltire's backing as principal sponsor certainly isn't underestimated,” Aberdeen vice-chairman George Yule said. “We look forward to progressing the club, both on and off the pitch.”
