A pandemic-led, team partner employee recognition program - running from February 2021 to March 2022. It leveraged the Official Healthcare Provider tie-up between the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins and UPMC Healthcare and thanked local healthcare professionals for the community commitment through the pandemic. It saw hospital leaders from across the medical provider’s ecosystem nominate employees for recognition via the ‘Pittsburgh Penguins Healthcare Hero Spotlight’. This saw recipients receive a team themed goodie bag, an autographed Penguins jersey and a thank you letter from a player, as well as social media mentions and game tickets.
