Chevrolet’s entry to Premier League shows contrast between US and Europe

THE ANNOUNCEMENT that Chevrolet will become the official automotive partner of Liverpool FC is further evidence it's a two-speed world in the global car industry. The deal runs through to the end of the 2015-16 season and Chevrolet is aiming to hit the ground running by also sponsoring Liverpool’s pre-season North American tour. The announcement comes after Liverpool’s bitter rival, and fellow American-owned club Manchester United, signed up Chevrolet as its new automotive partner in a five-year deal in May.
