Xerox extends long-running partnership with Super Rugby’s Lions

South Africa’s Golden Lions Rugby Union has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with document solutions and services company Xerox.

The new three-year deal covers the 2017 to 2019 seasons.

The extended deal includes title sponsorship rights for Golden Lions team in the Currie Cup domestic competition and associative sponsorship rights for the Lions franchise in the pan-regional Super Rugby tournament.

Xerox’s branding will feature on the front and back of the playing jerseys as part of the agreement.

Rudolf Straeuli, chief executive of the Golden Lions Rugby Union, said: “Achieving success takes skill, flair and the application of many hours of hard work, as the Golden Lions players are well aware. It also requires funding, and it is here that Xerox assists us greatly.”

Xerox first partnered with the GLRU, which is based in Gauteng, in 1993.
